This is something I have never seen before

It must be getting a 10X ROAS...

Hey there!

Another week in the 💰 hope you’re relaxed and mentally ready for next week. It seems like in Europe the summer is almost over. The weather has been really shitty, but nevertheless, I’m excited to bring another volume of AdVenture to you this Sunday evening!

Let’s get it started to get to the value right away – I promise I have some bangers for you in stock this week!

Obvi

What is a good ad review without an Obvi ad. They always do a great job at creating simple ads that stand out. Simple formula:

  1. Big bold headline

  2. Nice product shot

  3. Benefits of product

  4. Social proof

Now obviously (no pun intended), they have bright pink colours as branding so that helps out a ton in terms of stopping the scroll. Next to that the copywriting is great on this one as they talk about something their audience is frustrated about right in the headline: Love handles.

Then I love the icons they use for the main benefits that go along with that headline. They use contrasting green colours and have some additional emblems to strengthen their points.

At the bottom they have a great bar that says Over 300K+ lives changed which is a great way of the standard Over … happy customers – love it.

Copywriting - 9/10
Visuals - 9/10
Likeliness to convert - 9/10
Overall rating - 9/10

Possible improvement points: This ad just does most of its things right.

Possible variations:

  1. Headline change

  2. Change the benefit points

  3. Change the product shot

  4. Move the benefit points down and on the left side of the image add a social proof emblem instead of the bottom bar.

Bloom

This is a good example of how to stand out from all the brands doing basic static ads. A dynamic background with clouds making it look visually appealing and the dynamics of the benefit points help this ad grab the attention.

One problem it might face is that not all is displayed at the start where a normal static might outperform this one as it shows everything right away.

However, overall I think this is a great ad that showcases all the pain points a customer might have mostly focusing on bloating and gut health.

There is one problem I have with this ad, the headline is super vague and doesn’t directly speak to one specific audience. 1 scoop unlimited benefits. Kinda vague right? As 2 of the benefit points are related to gut health I’d much rather see a headline that says something like BEAT THE BLOAT or GOODBYE BLOATING – then as a sub-headline, you can add 1 scoop unlimited benefits.

Copywriting - 7/10
Visuals - 8/10
Likeliness to convert - 7/10
Overall rating - 7.5/10

Possible improvement points: As I mentioned I would change the headline to be calling out more of a specific audience to grab the attention better as right now it’s super vague. Also the benefit points could be standing out more, maybe some contrasting colours there would benefit this image too.

Possible variations:

  1. Change the headline to something like BEAT THE BLOAT or GOODBYE BLOATING

  2. Make it a static image

  3. Make the benefit points a bit more popping

HiSmile

BANGER ALERT 🚨

If you haven’t seen an ad from HiSmile so far then you’re missing out. This ad is so good. It stops the scroll by the girl talking and complaining about wasting her money on “this stupid TikTok thing”. It instantly got me and super curious what it is.

Then she talks about trying it in store and it not working for her which sparks the interest even more as a negative statement always grabs the attention more than a positive statement and it’s just something else! She even says that she’s giving it one more try otherwise she is going to bin it.

And then suddenly it works! Awesome plot twist, as an advertiser you obviously see this coming, but thinking of it from a consumer’s perspective this really switches things up compared to the boring ads they normally see.

Overall SOLID ad. Something I haven’t seen before. I already peaked their ads manager and I have seen more variants of it.

Copywriting - N/A
Visuals - 9.5/10
Likeliness to convert - 9.5/10
Overall rating - 9.5/10

Possible improvement points: NOTHING (haha)

Possible variations:

  1. Try a different model, maybe a guy.

  2. Ask the creator to whiten all her teeth.
