Robbing a store?

You probably never seen an ad like this before

Hey there!

How’s November going for you so far? We’re 1.5 weeks out from the big event and it’s busier than ever. Getting ads ready, and making sure campaigns go live at the right time as some brands already started their sales.

I hope you’re coping wit the involved stress and you’re crushing it either way as it’s time to shine.

So let’s get down to business, this week we’ve got 2 great static ads to break down and one special video.

DEUX

Visually this ad just crushes for me. It looks clean, the colours are great and the text is displayed very well.

It touches on urgency by it being the last chance to get it, it touches on the features of the product and social proof with the added review at the bottom.

Overall there is not much else to say about this ad apart from that the visuals are very good and targeting everyone that loves matcha to try this cookie dough collaboration between DEUX and Bloom.

The only thing I would say to improve this product is to focus on some of the benefits of the product as right now they only focus on features. They could tell that it’s lower in sugar compared to normal cookies though or that its enriched with greens or anything like that, but I think this creative is more targeted at an already existing customer base of either of the brands.

Ritual

The capsule grabs the attention in this one. I am wondering how much success Ritual has by only having a very visually-looking capsule. If I were scrolling the feed and saw this ad the first thing that draws my attention is the capsule as it looks out of the ordinary and so I go on to read the rest of the text.

Next up the headline directly calls out an audience that is already taking a probiotic clearly defining the audience with that headline which is great. Then the benefit points clearly state their benefits being a post-, pre- and probiotic capsule that helps people with gut, digestive and immune support.

I think this ad is great, however, social proof is missing here, I think they could have easily added some at the bottom right or right across the bottom of this image. Maybe they wanted to go with a more clean approach here, but I think that could be a possible improvement point on this image to for example show how many people are taking Ritual.

Hismile

Yup, wanted to give you guys some last-minute Black Friday inspiration. Some of you might already have gone live with your sale and some of you might have some time to work on creatives. So here we go, Hismile…

Love this video, honestly, it’s just different. They have taken over an entire store. The hook talks about how the customer is stealing from them this Black Friday which lets them know their deals will be very good.

Then the video goes into a supermarket aisle of people robbing the shelves which is super fun to watch. After that, they announce the sale being something they’re doing for the first time ever. Then very simply going into a CTA talking about all their best sellers being on sale which is great, especially for warmer audiences and existing customers.
