Ramen, but healthy. How Immi is crushing it

How this brand is disrupting the $42B Ramen industry

Welcoming a lot of new subscribers this week! It’s so great to see the newsletter growing. So if you’re new here, let me give you the TL;DR of what AdVenture is about: every week I digest 3 ads that I came across during my week running my agency.

We manage 20-25 brands across Meta and TikTok ads via paid media and create a ton of ads for them. That’s why we’re always studying Foreplay, ad libraries to come up with new ideas or mix and match some concepts from different brands. As a wise man once told me: “Good artists borrow, great artists steal”.

So this week I’ve got something special. My team is a big fan of Immi, their ads are always so stunning and innovative that I decided to do a brand highlight of 3 of my favorite ads of theirs.

What a concept.

Targeting people who want to reduce their carb intake or lose some pounds. There is no better way to show how great their product is than to make a comparison ad comparing themselves to regular instant noodles.

You can eat 6.6 packs of Immi ramen for 1 cup of normal instant noodles.

One pack has just 6g of net carbs which is a super strong way of showing how much carbs people could be saving by switching to Immi. Notice that they are not even touching on the protein content they have as per their site they also have a whopping 21g of protein per pack. This just shows that you pick one angle and do it well. Immi did it super well by just focusing on the net carbs angle.

This is an ad that could work for every awareness level to be honest as everyone knows regular ramen and Immi just presents a great solution here. However, this ad will crush for people already looking to lose weight even better.

Visuals - 9/10
Likeliness to convert - 9/10
Overall rating - 9/10

With this ad, Immi really speaks to the audience who is looking to lose weight and calls them out directly.

Great visuals, a bright yellow background and a tasty way of showing their product making it look like a ramen dish at your local Asian place.

Then they go into the points why Immi is just better than your average meal of ramen touching on carbs, calories, protein and fiber.

The key element why Immi shines differently from its competitors is that it is a better choice without compromising on taste or quality.

I’d say this is a great ad but would have loved for a social proof element to be added here to enhance the likeliness of this ad to convert. I think adding an element that says “Over 150,000+ happy customers” would be a great addition to this creative.

Visuals - 8.5/10
Likeliness to convert - 8.5/10
Overall rating - 8.3/10

This ad does the social proofing right. 1000+ 5-star reviews which is a great thing to add to build more trust with your audience.

Additionally, I really like the benefit points in this GIF. They show in a fun way what’s in it in terms of nutritional values and show some hovering ingredients on the side making the image look really aesthetically pleasing.

This is a great ad for an already aware audience. An audience that has seen an ad or two from Immi and wants to buy it but is not 100% convinced. This ad focuses on one flavor and shows the amazing macros in a fun way – something Immi always does in its ads.

Likeliness to convert - 7/10
Overall rating - 7.2/10
